Quite possibly the best coating product I\'ve used. I used 1/2 teaspoon of moly for the first batch of bullets and after 2 hours in the tumbler they turned out GREAT!!! Very even coating. I modified a couple of colanders to sift out the media and they worked out well also and much cheaper than media separating products from the manufactures. The ceramic media is very close to .22 caliber so I\'ll just revert back to steel BBs to coat the smaller bullets but for everything bigger than .22 this is my favorite. Very good product from my stand point.
This system goes a great job of coating my long range bullets (140 gr, 6.5mm). Since I can\'t buy my favorite brand factory anymore, the coating system is the only way I can get them
The kit provides you with everything you need. However, the ceramic stones may not be necessary. If you are coating 22 cal separation is difficult. I have coated all caliburs successfully without using the ceramics. I suggest using surgical gloves when handling the raw materials and using a small amount of the moly. Once the moly drum is coated 1/8 tsp ( teaspoon for you non cooks) is adequate to coat 100 projectiles up through 30 cal. NOTE: if you use more you will be transferring it to your cobb media in the final process. I let mine run about 45 minutes while I leave the shop. Noise is a problem as one would expect. The down side is that the unit does not have an on/off swtuch, you must unplug it. Using small amounts of moly and letting it run for an extended period has eliminated the final polish step for me. You may experience variations in velocity and decreased neck tension with moly bullets. I resolved this by decreasing my neck bushing by .001. Moly costing is a must for sub sonic loads .
