Just a follow on comment. With flat based bullets right off I was able to make hundreds of the lowest run out 22 Hornet reloads ever using this flaring die, less than .001 inch, many half of that. I was stunned that I could now routinely make sub .001 inch bullets. I new I was doing everything else right all these years but this was the missing piece of the puzzle. Results in other calibers are nowhere as dramatic but the Hornet case neck is much thinner and delicate. I scrapped my Lee flaring die. The convenience of quickly and easily starting the bullet is worth the price let alone the run out. Hornet heads do yourself a big favor and start using this die.
22 Hornet brass is notoriously thin and prone to crumpling. This die opens up the case mouth nicely without over working the brass. Not really needed if you load boat tail projectiles; but really handy for flat base or gas checked cast.
