  1. This mold appears to be the magic maker for 40-60 Marlin review by Flyin Brian on 6/12/2017
    Rating

I have been searching for the right mold for a .40-60 Marlin over a year. I have one that is advertised as a good choice for .40-60 but it drops at .412 and when sized to .406 there are no lube grooves remaining, just a smooth slug. Found this one mentioned on another site, ordered it and cast 60 today, they came out perfect at 237 grains, .406 on the bands and .408 at the heel. They seated great and I used the front groove as the crimp groove. They chamber fine in both of my 1881 Marlins, so now to range test, but I can already tell this is exactly what I have been searching for!!

  2. Mold cast fine and the ... review by Robert on 6/12/2017

Mold cast fine and the bullet is within the stated weight and size I use the bullet unsized in my 4065 Ballard to shoot at 200m chickens in BPCR silhouette. Works fine for this application.
