The Viper™ HD spotting scope features an optimized optical system that delivers impressive resolution, cuts chromatic aberration and provides excellent color fidelity, edge-to-edge sharpness, and light transmission, resulting in HD views. Proprietary, XR™ coatings increase light transmission with multiple anti-reflective coatings on all air-to-glass surfaces, while Multi-layer Dielectric prism coatings provide bright, clear, color-accurate images.
The construction of this HD spotting scope features waterproof O-ring seals, preventing moisture, dust, and debris from penetrating the scope for reliable performance in all environments. Argon gas purging prevents internal fogging over a wide range of temperatures, while an ultra-hard ArmorTex™ scratch resistant coating protects the exterior lenses from scratches, oil, and dirt. The Viper™ HD spotting scope also features an optional angled body design, for allowing an overall lower mounting height which maximizes stability in wind. It also offers greater comfort when glassing for extended periods, and permits the use of a smaller, lighter tripod.
The Adjustable Eyecup twists up and down to precise, intermediate settings to maximize custom fit for comfortable viewing with or without eyeglasses, while the helical focus Allows for fast and fine adjustments. A built-in sunshade reduces glare and shields the objective lens from raindrops and snow, and a rotating tripod collar provides adjustable viewing angles.
